Workspace misaligned after macOS wakeup

Whe I leave InDesign (and Photoshop also) opened and Mac Mini goes in sleep mode, after waking up my workspace is misaligned.
Some panels from secondary monitor are on primary monitor, but some stay right where they shoul be.
I can easily reset my saved workspace, but still it is annoying.
Not sure why is it happening.

It is Mac Mini M4, latest macOS, and dual monitor setup.

Hi @michaljanata,

Thanks for the update. Could you try running InDesign with just one monitor connected to check if the panels stay in place after wake? That will help confirm if the dual monitor setup is causing the issue. If you can, please also share screenshots showing the workspace before and after waking the Mac, so I can review them.

Looking forward to your update.

Abhishek

While making screenshots I have found out problem. Only panels that are touching edge of the secondary monitor are moving. So I ahve tried to make a little gap between panel and edge of the monitor and it seems problem is solved.

Hi @michaljanata,

Thanks for the details. The issue after your Mac wakes up is usually linked to how macOS manages multiple displays, which can cause panels in InDesign and Photoshop to shift. Resetting the workspace is a quick workaround, but to avoid it happening again, please try turning off 'Displays have separate Spaces' in System Settings under Mission Control, then restart your Mac. Also, please confirm which InDesign version you're on and ensure it's updated to the latest release. If the panels still move after wake, let me know what type of display connection you're using (HDMI or Type-C) and try switching it to see if that improves things.

Looking forward to your update.

@Abhishek Rao thansk for help... turning 'Displays have separate Spaces' off didnt help, it happened again after restart and putting mac in sleep
secondary monitor is HDMI and primary is USB-C, InDesign is latest update
I will try to swap cables, later
edit: I forgot I can't swap cables, my secondary monitor is so old, so it doesn't have USB-C port, only HDMI
