Writing lines for book layout

Hello!
I am working on my first book layout in InDesign. Within my book, there will be small sections where the reader can write notes. What is considered the standard for space between the lines so that it offers enough space for notes? I came across that it might be 8mm (0.31 inches.), but I wanted to double-check.
