Morning! I am unable to continue working on my project. I recieve this message when opening InDesign (Beta).

Your InDesign (Beta) build has expired.

I have reinstalled the app and I still received the same message then is closes itself down and won't let me continue.

What does this mean and how do I resolve this?

I can see there are a few past post on this issue. Why does this keep happening? Am I better off using the normal InDesign. We chose Beta so the team can collaborate more easily.

Beta releases have a limited lifespan and should never, ever be used in a production mode. They're for experienced users to try out, knowing that features may not work, projects may be hopelessly corrupted and that new/test/undercooked features may never be available in release versions.

It means, the Beta testing period has ended. Betas are not official. A solution would usually be to install a newer beta.

However, where's the connection between "Beta" and "collaborate more easily"? Are you sure this is the reason? It makes no sense.

We've never used the beta app before. It was suggested so we could save the file to the cloud so others can work on the same file. My guess is this is not its primay use and its created problems for us. Think we'd best stick with the full version.

I'm unsure why the full version doesnt allow saving the files to the cloud. we would find it very useful.

We use XD mostly and we can save the files to the cloud and work together on the same file.

The cloud document feature (if that's what you're referring to) IS available in the current release (non-beta) version of InDesign (19.4 or 19.5, depending on your location). The feature itself is still marked as 'beta' but, as already mentioned, it's available in the released version.
