Zoom increments

Question

I see a fair amount of discussion about this but no answers.

I use "option/mouse scroll ball" on my Mac to zoom which allows me to zoom without changing tools but has too big of increments. Scrubby zoom is cool and all but requires changing tools.

How can I change the default zoom increments? Currently increases by 25% which is too much.

Hi @macuser2000 , You could do it via scripting. Give this a key command to zoom in at 5% increments:

 
//zoom in
var i = 5
var zp = app.activeWindow.zoomPercentage
app.activeWindow.zoomPercentage = zp + i 
//zoom out
var i = 5
var zp = app.activeWindow.zoomPercentage
app.activeWindow.zoomPercentage = zp - i
