32bit tiff render problem from Photoshop

 Hi,

I get "strange" looking pictures in Lightroom after having edited them in Photoshop, where I converted them to 32-bit. The contrast is much higher in Lightroom than in Photoshop. The file format of the pictures are .tif.

Program versions:

Lightroom Classic version: 9.2 [ 202001311240-2d026470 ]

Adobe Photoshop Version: 21.1.0 20200212.r.106 2020/02/12: 4dd027efb58 x64

Yes its a very revealing post by Eric Chan, and I have taken the liberty to post a relevent snippet from it below for you:

"The reason is that if you keep the image as 32-bit, then Lr will think that it's not-yet-tonemapped (i.e., basically the same as a linear raw file) and will apply its own tone mapping by default, just like it does for raw files. This adds the (undesirable) punch and contrast that you're describing -- I say "undesirable" in this context because you've already tone mapped the image using the ACR controls."

Hope this helps you and others .  .  .

Note the age of his post though 😞

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it was quite a long time ago he posted that!

Thanks for the reply. Little bit annoying but at least it works to export from Photoshop if .jpg is needed 🙂
