Add New Mask not working

Lightroom v13.2 on Macbook Air/MacOS Sonoma v14.2.1 isn't letting me create any new masks.

 

When I try to create any mask of any kind, it will VERY quickly show the "Detecting Subject/Sky/Object.." dialog, flash the Mask toolbar for a second then does nothing.

 

No new mask, no anything. Any help?

Try to reset the preferences to the default settings by doing the following steps:

  • Close Lightroom.
  • Hold down [Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
  • Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
  • Close Lightroom.
  • Restart Lightroom.

 

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:
