I am having difficulty adding a lengthy quotation to a single slide in a slideshow. How is that done. Thanks

I very much appreciate your response. A multi-line quote is my precise problem.   Perhaps the solution would be able to edit with line breaks internally, but I don't know how to do that. Alternatively, perhaps the print module suggestion would work. It is my very last slide in a 500 slide presentation, and I want to overlay the text using an image.   Thanks again for your thoughts.

Enter the text with line breaks into Textedit or other text editor. Copy and paste into the Custom Text field:

You can edit the text using the cursor keys and Home or Ctrl A and End or Ctrl E. But you can only enter new lines using copy/paste.

LR is very inconsistent about entering new lines. Other LR fields let you enter new lines using magic combinations of Ctrl, J, M, Shift, Return (it varies by field and platform), but not Slideshow Custom Text.

How "lengthy" ?

I believe there can only be one line of text on a 'slide' and reducing the bounding box of the text seems the only way to have many words of text.

Or add multiple text boxes (each of one line) and split the quote across the 'lines'.

Or a work-around is to use the Print module to first create each 'slide' with an image and a large text cell then [Print to File] and use this new 'image' file in the Slideshow.
