Adding & refreshing at the drive level

Hello!

I have been using LR for *years* and I am not sure that this has always been a problem for me? Perhaps, I'm just losing my mind 😛

I have a various drives in my catalog. I want to create new folders in a drive, but I don't have that option. Right clicking on the drive level only gives me high level options: "Disk space, Photo count, Properties, open in explorer". No mention of adding a file or Synchronizing the drive.

I created the folders in explorer and hoping to sync, but that's not a option... what am I doing wrong here?

There is a + sign to the right of the word Folders, you ought to be able to create any folder you want on any drive you want this way.

However, I don't really recommend that ... better is to import photos from a specific folder or drive, and then that folder or drive will appear in your LrC folder list. So the folders you have already created in Explorer can be used via this method.

Ok, nevermind. I feel like a dumbass. 🙂 I Also, don't see how to close a discussion - so this is just out there for the whole world to see 😄

Instead of feeling bad, why don't you do a good thing for anyone who chooses to read this thread, and TELL US what the solution is that you found.

You are right. I apologize. I "found" the + button to the right of the Folders and was able to manoeuvre that way. However, I understand that there is a better solution below. So I am thankful for that also.
