Adjustments made to my images when I import them into LR and I'd like it to STOP

When I import my images from PhotoMechanic or directly from the harddrive I'm noticing the exposure, color temp and contrast have been adjusted. There isn't any indication in the import window that any presets are being applied so I'm confused as to why LR is doing this. I know I can just batch adjust everything back to zero but it's extra time I don't have. Anybody know where I can fix this? THANK YOU!!

    Are these RAW photos?

If so, this is standard behavior for Lightroom, first you see the JPG preview embedded in the RAW file, which has the in-camera adjustments applied to it; then after a few seconds after Lightroom has time to generate it's own preview from the RAW, you see the un-adjusted RAW image. If that's what you are seeing, there is no way to turn it off, this is how Lightroom is supposed to work.

What you can do is set a preset to be applied at import, so you can have a starting point (for example, increased contrast, increased saturation, whatever you'd like) that is more to your liking.

The other approach is to adjust a newly imported image that represents your "normal" type of shooting to look the way you would normally expect images to look when they are first imported. Make all the adjustments that you think are necessary to get it looking the way you would want it to look when it's first imported. After you have done that, then save new camera defaults. Then those settings will be applied whenever new Images are imported, or when you click on the reset button. I have created my own default settings for every camera that I have purchased. This helps to cut down on the initial adjustments that I have to make.
