Adobe Lightroom 5 upgrade?

I have tried to upgrade my Adobe LR 5 to 5.7. I downloaded Adobe Application manager and all looked fine when I downloaded the upgrade. However every time i try to open Lightroom it says that I must sign in to start my free trial. When I click through 'sign in' in takes me to a blank screen and I can't sign in anyway. I shouldn't be on a free trial as I have already purchased lightroom. Anyone else experienced this??

When you install LR 5, you applied a serial number. I don't think you need the Adobe Application manager at all for Lightroom 5 or 5.7.1. If I were you, I would uninstall the Adobe Application Manager and not download it again, uninstall LR, then reinstall LR 5.7.1 and apply your serial number.

That's great thank you. Will i lose my lightroom catelogues though because i haven't backed up for a while and now i can't get in to them.

Uninstalling then reinstalling does not change or move or delete your catalogs or your photos. They will still be there.
