FYI:  Mac OS 10.6.6  Using LR 3.3 and PSE 9  plus Acrobat (free), and Flash

HD>User>Home>Applications>Adobe  in my Adobe Folder, in addition to the apps, there is a file <AdobePatchFiles> with two Folders:

{F1469F01-D291-4C09-BC44-962823C175EC} and {A189C479-C7CD-4E08-8CCF-D999B68C0C71}

Each has many pages and each page has a huge amount of programming.

What is it and can it be deleted, without problems??

Thank you,

Ed

    Well done clevermonkey, interesting site. [you got a "solved"]

    it appears that Adobe, like Apple, covers their posterior at every op and disclose as little as possible .   Thankfully there are

    some smart monkeys to help us apes out...  I have enough of Adobe cluttering up my Pictures folder.

    Thank you,  I AM deleting and see what happens.

    Installers are very hard to get right, as you have to sort of treat each deployment as a hostile environment. Unfortunately, sometimes this means that you can't always clean up your own messes, and it is often safer to leave things alone rather than delete something that might be currently used by some other thread.

    But it looks like as long as no Adobe apps are running, those directories are non-essential and can be removed.  Caveat emptor though! I'm only clever enough to form a web search and make a best guess.
