After Import LR Classic refuse (delite) images

Hello, I used to delete all the unwanted images in one combination of steps
1 Select the unwanted images

2 push the X button

3 all images were marked as refused

sinds a coulpe of days it does not work that way any more I have to mark one by one image to mark refused.

Whow come??
