After opening a file in Photoshop, edited file not appearing in Lightroom when saved

From Lightroom Classic, I open a file to edit in Photoshop Beta. After editing is done, I save the file in Photoshop, then go back to Lightroom. In the past, the edited version has popped up immediately next to the original in Lightroom. But now I find I either have to use import or "synchronize folder" to get this edited version to appear.

Lightroom - 13.0.2
Photoshop Beta - 25.3.0

Make sure you just use 'Save' in Photoshop. Do not use 'Save as' and save the file with a different name! That used to work for a while, but not anymore.

Yea, I'm using "save", not "save as".

Might be some random glitch, as soon as I posted, it worked the way it's supposed to, although a problematic file from an earlier save in Photoshop hadn't been appended with the usual "Edit" suffix, so when it reopened in Lightroom, the program got a bit confused, sometimes showing a preview of the original file, but shwoing the edited file when zoomed in.  I'm updating both programs now to see if it's fixed.
