After updating to V12 lightroom crashes constantly

Question

After updating to V12 or V12.0.1, lightroom keeps crashing. I can open the program, but as soon as I want to choose another folder it cannot load the photos.
I have reinstalled lightroom several times, turned the GPU on and off, but nothing seems to work.
The catalog is also upgraded for V12.
If I then downgrade to V11.5 lightroom works normally again.
My PC: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core
32GB RAM
GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
Are there any other users with the same problem? Or can anyone help me out?

Welcome to the Lightroom Classic community. I'd help you figure this out.

There seems to be some pattern here. Lightroom tries to access the previews when you switch the folders & which could lead to a crash.

Please install Lightroom Classic v12.0.1 again & follow the steps in this article to recreate the preview database for Lightroom Classic: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-gives-error-preview-cache.html
