Here is an update including my original test results in 2023 on my now 10+ years young PC system.

Test Method:

Images: DP Review's A7RV 60MP RAW files. Five cycles per test. Disk Cleanup with all items checked in Cleanup system files performed after each reboot per test.  Stopwatch timed, not Lightroom Classic estimated time. Power level including all monitor and accessories power Consumption

Test System:

Intel i7-6700K 4.0GHz (not supported by Windows 11)

Asus Z170-A w/newest BIOS, TPM 2.0 (XMP & above 4G Decoding enabled in BIOS)

32GB DDR4 2400MHz CLS 13 RAM (8GB x 4)

WD Black 1TB M2 SSD (less than 40% usage) & 2 x 4TB Samsung SSD

Win 10 Pro

BenQ SW2700PT 1440p H/W 10-bit IPS display

Antec P190 550W+650W=1200W case w/2x80+ PSU (17 years young)

System upgrades in 2025:

Windows 11 Pro (on a non-supported CPU!) with Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling "On" in System > Display > Graphics

64GB DDR4 3200 CLS17 RAM (16GB x 4)

100W ATX 3.1 PSU w/ PCIE 5.1 connection

LG 32" 4K 32GS95UE W-OLED 10-bit monitor

Lightroom Classic 14.4

- RTX4070Ti OC 12GB GDDRX6: 1-pic: 13.41s 10-pic 139.88s Idle: 117W Average 266W Peak: 362W

- RTX5090 OC 32GB GDDR7: 1-pic: 6.4s 10-pic: 75.47s Idle: 126W average: 621W Peak: 743W

The Denois time decreased on the RTX 4070Ti OC with Lighroom Classic 14.4 due to time saved not needing to create and write DNG file to the SSD (~28%).  After upgrade to the RTX 5090 OC, not only the AI Denois is 100%+ faster but also all AI related process as well as loading 2000+ images per folder, Masking, add/remove brush in Mask and overall work flow.  only time there is a few seconds of delay is when reloading an image that has been Denoised previously but works fine without any lagging once loaded in Development mode even with many mask layers.  Based on the RTX4070Ti 12GB OC GPU performance hit after the v14.4 update I would highly recommend not to get a GPU that has less than 16GB VRAM for future proof as Lightroom Classic continues to increase GPU VRAM usage on every new version.
