Question

AI functions not working consistently

I've recently purchased a new Copilot+/Snapdragon X Elite laptop, and running Lightroom Classic via the 'copy/transfer' workaround method that many other users have suggested, in order to circumvent the lack of native availability on these devices.

At first all was working well, now I'm noticing certain AI features aren't working consistently. Masking in particular is being painful; it will work on some images, but not in others in the same gallery. I've not encountered this when I was using LRC on my previous device.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic: How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

Backup your preferences prior to resetting the preferences:

Preference file and other file locations | Lightroom Classic (adobe.com)

Normally it's better to install software from the scratch on new hardware. Copying/tranfering sounds easier but is in most cases faulty. Because the new computer based on another hardware and other device driver and versions.

I would recommend a complete clean reinstallation of the Adobe software.

Please follow the steps below:

If you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
