Ai masking in Lightroom classic 13.5 and above makes Lightroom unusable

Ever since I updated to Lightroom Classic 13.5 anytime I use masking especially the AI masking, it makes Lightroom come to a complete stall.  I have to restart Lightroom to make it usable again.  If I'm not using masking Lightroom is incredibly fast for me.  I tried updating and version 14 was worse so went back to 13.5 but still bad.  I have a really great system and had no issue with version 13.2.  However, recently I upgraded my GPU thinking that would help.  It did not.  Everytime I use masking on an image, I have to restart Lightroom.  My specs for my computer are super above their minmum requirement and as I mentioned Lightroom is super fast outside of masking.  I'm super frustrated because I'm unable to use half of what Lightroom can do and we pay too much money for this program not to be able to use.  Again, this has been an issue ever since Lightroom 13.5.  It isn't just me as forums are filled with others having the same issue.  Why give us something in a program that most people aren't able to use effectively.  Please don't say it is my system, because it is NOT.  My computer is only a couple of years old and had the highest specs at the time of purchase.  Anyone else have any luck getting this fixed.

Hey @The Golfwidow,

You have already done basic troubleshooting and upgrading to your computer. Can you share your System Info? You can find this by going to Help > System Info and copying and pasting it into a Text File.

I'm going to be looking at your GPU, its type, and the driver you have installed. If you have an NVIDIA, you want to ensure you installed the Studio Driver, not the Gaming Driver.

Also, check out this article about performance: https://adobe.ly/3FQvkPk

@CMass hey there.  I can send the system info when I'm back on my desktop.  We had a storm come through and I had to turn off my desktop.  However, I wanted to say I've always used the studio drivers and they are the most current. I looked through the article and I've already done everything.  I did want to mention that I saw someone else in a forum mention turning off my GPU in Lightroom and sure enough I did that and it made a big difference in using the masking.  Which makes no sense.  So essentially right now for me not using the GPU in Lightroom makes it faster.  This wasn't the case before updating to 13.5 and above.  It maks me wonder if Adobe is having an issue with Nvidia GPUs?  I mean when I was using the GPU Lightroom was fast except for masking.  If I did any masking it made my LR virtually unuable till I restarted.  However, turning off the GPU makes masking work.  Please explain that to me.  Shawn
