All edits have disappeared

Has anyone else had this happen? I restarted the application and after I did, I saw all of the images that I had removed from the catalog showing up, and all of the edits that I had made reverting back to the original image on the previews. What in the heck happened?

Use MACOS Finder to locate your catalog or catalogs. Make sure that you are opening the correct catalog. In LrC the default catalog to open when starting LrC from the startup icon is to open the most recent catalog. Sometimes (usually at LrC updates, and especially for some reason upgrades) many users wind up with the wrong catalog opening. I have never seen documentation on the how, my suspicion is a corrupt preference file.

Yes, I am opening the correct catalog. The photos are all there, they just don't have their edits anymore, and the ones I had removed from the folder, are back. It's like it's back to the state it was post-import.
