Question

all pictures in catalogue seem gone...

I am working on an iMac M4, with LRc v 14.0.1

My last catalog is -v12.

When I opened LRC a few days ago, all my files seemed gone... and a few very old files showed up, see picture. I replaced the file -v12 from my Time Machine with a file which was a few days older: same result.

I did a clean install of LRc: same result....

Still the catalogfile still shows that is about 190 MB, so it should be alright. In the picture; there should be maps all the way up to 2024...

How do I get it back to work?

Most likely you opened a very old catalog. V12 suggests this is a catalog that was created with Lightroom Classic 12 and never ugraded beyond that version. Lightroom Classic 14 does not rename the catalog during upgrade anymore, so your current catalog might not end with V14 (unless you renamed it yourself), but you probably should have a catalog ending with V13 somewhere.

thank you Johan. Indeed I searched for a -v13 catalog but can't find it... Still the -v12 goves a size of 190MB, could I find a way to go around that?

190MB is very little, which would confirm this is an old catalog with very few images.
