Alternatives for face recognition

Have just installed LrC mainly for the face recognition feature and I have to say I'm very disappointed. Even shots of the same person taken seconds apart with just a different expression fail to be grouped. Out of 11k photos of mainly friends and family it has created 8k groups!

So I wondered if anyone could recommend alternative face tagging products? (Preferably something that will run on MacOS)
