Question

Any one know a way to connect gmail to LRCC email function?

Have been trying to connect my email (gmail.com) with the email function in LRCC.  It says it is validated, but when I hit the send button, it always tells me that a connection could not be established.  Everything is updated and the latest versions.

Thanks in advance.

I have been using Photo Uploads Gmail plugin for years.  Available at https://www.newpproducts.com or Adobe Add-ons from plugin manager page.

Rule #1 - have a good wall nearby to beat your head against

Rule #2 - have plenty of time to waste getting this all figured out

Seriously,  the Email option in the export dialog has never been robust or stable.  It is very prone to failing due to OS updates, Email client updates, and just because it feels like it.  It may work today and not work tomorrow and it is not getting much (or any) attention from Adobe, Apple, Gmail, Microsoft, or any other email provider.

I reccomend not bothering with it.   It is not all that difficult to export the desitred images using the “For Email Hard Drive” option to a temp folder and then using your standard Gmail client to compose your message and attach the files you just exported.   Even though this work around will add a minute or two each time you will wind up saving many many hours of frustration.

Of course, that is not what I wanted to hear, especially since it used to work some time back.  However, I know you are right and I will continue to do what I am currently doing-saving to the desktop and emailing with it attached.  It sure was incredibly handy when it was operational!
