    I now have the newest version of LR Classic running but need to set up the Preferences again.

    Yes, after updating LR yesterday it keeps crashing. I even updated to the latest MacOS 13.4.1 to see if that fixed things, but same thing, LR crashes every time I try to open it.

    I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling from scratch as a first attempt in case something happened during the update process.  

    If it's still crashing, I'd hold Option down during boot up to force the Catalog dialog to appear and try another catalog or a new one to check that it opens.
