Application Freezes When Selecting Video While Under 8 Seconds Remain of Current Video
Issue:
When viewing videos in the library, if you watch a video that is longer than 8 seconds, and you switch to a new video while you're in the last 8 seconds (including if the video has ended or is paused), then the application will freeze for about 5 seconds before the new video is ready to play.
Environment:
- Lightroom Classic Version Number: 13.4 Release
- OS Version Number: Windows 11 Pro 10.0.22631 Build 22631
Repro rate: 100%
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a video that's shorter than 8 seconds (call it A)
- Create a video longer than 8 seconds (say 20 seconds) (call it B)
- Play A then play B
- Observe there is no freeze
- Play B then play A
- Observe the freeze
- Play B for fewer than 12 seconds then play A (with or without pausing)
- Observe there is no freeze
- Play B for more than 12 seconds then play A (with or without pausing)
- Observe the freeze
Expected result: smooth switching regardless of position in current video
Actual result: application freeze dependent on position in current video
