Archiving my scans

Hello,

Here's my workflow when I restore.

1: I scan magazines pages and output them in TIFF

2: I import those TIFF and create a copy when I to send it to PS

3: Once the work is done there, I save in PS, which creates a new file in LS

At this point, I don't need the original scans anymore and they are HUGE files, but, I need to keep something in case I need to go back and do some tweaks.

What would be the best course of action here?

Build smart previews?

Export the final file to DNG and back them up?

Something else?

P.

Move the original to some other disk such that Lightroom Classic still knows where it is. No exporting needed. No smart previews are a part of this process.
