Are LRTemplate Develop files still usable?

Question

I have lots of old LRTemplate Develop presets that I can not get to install into LR Classic 13.01 on my Mac. I have gone through lots of websites and followed the instructions, though they never display in the User Presets section of Lightroom.

From Preferences, I always choose Show All Other Lightroom Presets button and then I navigate to the Adobe > Lightroom > Develop Presets folder and I copy the folder containing the LRTemplate files to this location. After restarting Lightroom and rebooting my computer they never show up.

I also tried to import them from the + button in the Presets panel and that didnt work either.

1. Any suggestions?

2. Is there an easy way to wipe out all presets that I installed to set it back to how it may have been when I first installed LR? I have tried installing presets so many times and into so many different locations that I am concerned that it could possibly be causing an issue?

That's the preferred method -- it's too error prone to manually place presets in the right folders. 1. Do you have at least one photo imported into your catalog? A longstanding bug causes no presets to appear in empty catalogs. 2. Attach one of the problem .lrtemplate files here (rename it to have the extension .txt if the forum balks at letting you attach a .lrtemplate file). We can see if it imports into other LR configurations and what might be going wrong.
