@carlos_cortez, thank you for confirming the details. I tested Auto Import using the CR3 files provided by you from a Canon R5 on my end, and it works as expected. This confirms the issue is not related to the CR3 file type itself.
Please try the following checks:

Compare your Auto Import settings with the ones shown in the attached screenshot and ensure they match exactly.

Create a new test folder on your Desktop, set it as the Watched Folder, and drop a CR3 file there to see if it auto-imports.

In your current path (/Users/carloscortez/Pictures/ftp/r5), can you confirm whether the ftp folder is tied to any background service, sync, or server process? Even if it appears local, active services can interfere with Auto Import monitoring.

the problem was the permisions of the files created for my ftp server...
