Question

Automatic adjustment of files on import

I use ISO bracketing and raw files. So my camera stores the image as three separate files with ISO:
1000
1600

2500

Looking at the images in camera, there are clearly different light levels.
When I import into Lightroom Classic 12.3 (Camera Raw (15.3), the selection screen also shows these differences.
After the import, the three images are displayed differently for a second or two and then all are displayed at the same level as the  ISO 1000 image. The metadata, of course, shows the original ISO value.

I do not, to my knowledge, apply any settings during import.

Is there a Lightroom setting which could cause this to happen?

Andy

First, the embedded jpg generated in the camera is shown. Then, LrC's own rendering is shown.

The only way I know of anything "automatic" is applied during import is applying a preset during import.

Can you share a screen capture of the import window?

What is the source and format of the photos?

I have just carried out a further experiment.

If I take 3 images at the identical exposure, but at different ISO settings, they are imported correctly. That is. each appears in LR with a brightness level corresponding to the ISO setting.

However, if I capture the images using ISO bracketing so a single exposure is saved to the sensor three times with different ISO settings, they are imported into LR and then adjusted so all have the level of brightness of the lowest ISO settings.

So, I will assume for now that the issue relates to the Olympus EM5 Mk 3, rather than LR.

Andy.
