My back button on Lightroom has dissapeared. Whenever I edit photos, I have an arrow that wipes all the edits I have made and I am unable to delete my last step as the back button arrow is no longer there. Please help

I am new to the online version, and I can not find a back and forward button, and it doesn't show previews of my presets like the classic and phone app versions do.  Pretty frustrating.  I am not sure if the website it really horrible or there's something wrong that can be fixed.

Lightroom-Classic is not an "online" version.  (Only Install and activation uses the Desktop App online.)

The 'Back button' in Lightroom-Classic is the History panel (as stated by dj Paige above). Click on any step in the History.

And there is a [Reset] button to remove all edits. (But they all still remain in History!)

Now if you are referring to Lightroom v8 (aka Lightroom-Desktop) which IS the "online" version, then the three dots icon gives you a menu for presets that will show Preset previews in Grid mode-

If you click on the step just underneath the most recent step, it removes your most recent step.

Please post a screen-clip of your screen to show 'where' you expect to see a "Back Button arrow".
