lrc gets stuck on Backing up Lightroom Catalog -- Optimizing bid data storage -- how do I fix this?

Could you share a bit more info about the issue you're facing? What version of Lightroom are you using? Where is your catalog located, and where are you trying to back it up? Also, how full are these locations?

Hey, @PaulKostro. Thanks for sharing the details; it helps. 

 

The location where you store the catalog and the backup is associated with DropBox, which could be the reason why Lightroom Classic isn't behaving as expected. 

Try moving the Catalog folder to a folder that is on the internal drive & is not syncing to Dropbox or any other Cloud sync services & change the destination for backup to a different location and check how it goes.
