Hi everybody!
Not being able to see before/after with the \-key in Fullscreen mode (F) has been very frustrating but today I actually found a way that works! :-)

If I instead of F press Ctrl-Shift-F (as in menu Window – Screen mode – Full Screen and Hide Panels)
the \-key (and the alternate <-key set via Translatedstrings for my Swedish keyboard) actually work.

However the F key now switches between Fill and Fit views in fullscreen.

To get out of fullscreen I can use either Ctrl-Shift-F again or Shift-F to cycle through the various semi-fullscreen modes.

Try Y or shift S.

It's possibly a keyboard issue, if you type something in a dialog box (keywords for example) does the backslash key on your keyboard produce a backslash on screen? If not find which key will and use that as your shortcut.

Thanks!
No problem in f.i. the keywords dialog box or notepad to enter a backslash. But no way to let the backslash (=altgr + backslash)  work as a shortcut to switch between before and after view

Does "\" show up as the shortcut on the menu?

You can override the shortcut by editing the file:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.2\Resources\nl\TranslatedStrings.txt

Look for the line:

"$$$/AgDevelop/Menu/View/BeforeAfter/Before/Key=^L"

^L is the special code for "\" -- look at other similar lines to see how to enter keys.
