Backup Catalog Question

I did the recent upgrade for LR Classic and I now get a message to upgrade my catalog. I went to where my catalog backups are located and the most recent date of the last backup is date 3/19. I have always backed up my catalog upon exiting every time. I should see multiple dates since 3/19.

My questions are:

1- Why don't I show catalog backups since March?

2- If I hit update catalog will I lose everything I've done since 3/19 once the update is complete?

3- Before doing the update catalog if I open LR and select the catalog dated 3/19 and then backup upon exiting, shouldn't I see today's date of the new catalog?

I did a search for lrcat and came up with 2 separate locations. One is under LR and the other is under LR Classic. Somehow the directory changed when I went to the subscription service although I don't recall ever changing  it. I did find a recent version. Problem solved.

I have several hundred gig free.

Backup location has never changed.

As to your particular backup issue

 

1. Is the drive you are backing up to full? Air approaching full compared to backup catalog site.

 

2. Did your backup location change at some point?

 

And a note, just in case

 

Do not backup to the same hard drive as where your catalog is kept.

 

Do not forget to backup your photos, they are NOT in the catalog
