Question

backups

Hi! As I needed more space on my laptop, I deleted old Lightroom (Classic) catalogs (and emptied the trash). Then I tried to backup the catalog I was currently using (the catalog which opens automatically when starting Lightroom), it didn't work, so I closed Lightroom. When opening again, most of my pictures were gone. I probably made it worse by uploading the most recent of my backups, which doesn't even contain my most recent pictures. How can I find my pictures? (I have no backup, but I didnt delete it either). Hope someone can help; weeks of work there. Thanks!

Your photos are stored in your Mac or attached drives, and are wherever you put them, or wherever you told Lightroom Classic put them. You can search for them with your operating system's search feature.

The photos will not have the edits that you performed in Lightroom Classic. If I am understanding you, you no longer have the catalog file and and no backups, so the edits are gone.
