Question

Bad spots on dark areas while editing in Lightroom

Since a recent update in Lightrorom, I've been seeing very odd patchy areas in the darkest areas of some of my images while in LR. Once I export the photos this does not show up. Is there a fix to get rid of this? Thanks!

This may be graphics card related. Is it there with the GPU off in the Performance section of Preferences?

Can you also copy and paste your info from Help>System Info...?

It is NOT there with GPU turned off. And it is NOT there with the GPU set to Custom "Use GPU forDisplay."  Is that how I should have it set up? I've attached a screen shot. Many thanks!

Usually in this case it means that you need to update drivers. Right now that means going to Ventura for you.

I think from the GPU that it's a Mac Pro, but I don't know if it's possible for you to update.

Reading up on the FirePro seems to indicate it has 2Gb's of VRAM, which is low for things like People editing. If it's working with Use GPU for Display, I'd use that, but processing will be slower because it's moved to the CPU.
