Batch editing in Library module (presets, AI updates, auto tone) only applies to the first selected photo in Lightroom Classic 15.3 (2026).
Hey everyone,
I’ve been using Lightroom Classic for years, and until recently, batch processing from the Library module worked perfectly. I could select a bunch of photos, apply a user preset, an AI update, or auto tone control, and all of them would update at once. But since a recent update, something’s broken.
Now, when I select multiple photos in the Library module and try to apply any batch action (whether it’s a preset, AI enhancement, tone correction, anything) only the first photo in the selection gets updated. The rest are just ignored. It’s like Lightroom forgets I selected more than one image.
I’ve tried the usual workarounds, like manual sync in the Develop module or copy-pasting settings, but those don’t solve my problem. Manual sync doesn’t support AI updates or auto tone in the same way, and copy-pasting is just too slow when I’m working with hundreds of photos. I need true batch processing, the way it used to work, directly from the Library module.
This is a huge issue for me. I rely on batch actions to save time and maintain consistency across large sets of images. Without this functionality, my workflow is basically broken.
I’m running Lightroom Classic 15.3 on Windows 11, with a local catalog stored on an SSD. I’ve tested this on multiple sets of photos, and the problem is consistent. Only the first photo in any selection gets the batch action applied.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a fix or a workaround I’m missing ? I’d love to hear if others are experiencing the same thing. This feels like a major regression, and I’m really hoping it gets addressed soon.
Thanks for any help or insights you can share!
