Black background is blue

I downloaded my photos and they all had a black blackground, however, my son's dog climbed up on me and pawed the computer and then all the black backgrounds are now a dotty blue. I can't figure out how to eliminate that! It wasn't that way before she pawed the keyboard. If I make an adjustment to make the blacks, blacker - they turn a bright blue!  How do I fix that?

    Correct answer Theresa J

Sounds like you probably turned on the clipping warnings with the 'J' key.

You can manually turn them on and off by clicking the triangles in the upper left and right of the histogram. Blue warning represents complete black on the left side of the histogram, and red warning represents complete white on the right side.

In the future, keep your son's dog away from the computer!  But you already knew that answer.

Theresa J has the correct answer for your immediate problem in post 1 above.

I'm not sure if I should thank you, agree with you (about the dog), ignore you, or scold you for being a smarty britches.  But you did make me chuckle, so thank you.
