Black/White Clipping in LrClassic Develop Module

Lr Classic does not show black or white clipping on images taken with Nikon Z50 and Nikkor 18-140 mm lens. It does show clipping on Z50 images taken with the 16-50mm and 50-250mm kit lenses. Is this a known issue or undocumented "feature"? Is there some workaround that I don't know?

Are the images in question (with the specific lens) of low contrast?

Have you made any Develop adjustments to these images?

Do you have the Clipping indicators turned on? (Keyboard [J] )

What do you see with indicators turned 'on' and then make extreme changes to Black & White sliders in the develop module. Do you see the Blur & Red visual indicator colors?

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

None of the images are low contrast.  It doesn't seem to matter whether or not any previous Develop adjustments have been made. I do have the clipping indicators turned on. With them on and holding the ALT key down, extreme changes to B/W sliders don't cause the Blue/Red indicators to appear-the image area stays white. On the histogram, it looks like the blacks and whites are "piling up" just inside the left and right extremes of the histogram. Again, this only seems to occur with the Nikkor 18-140mm lens.

Can you post a pair of example RAW files. Not sure if the attachment feature in this community will support that. May be better to post to the cloud, perhaps DropBox, then share a link in a reply.

The community doesn't support NEF files. I am posting an out-of-camera JPG that shows the same behavior. JPGs taken with the kit lens show normal clipping indicators.

Yes, it is an issue in the community pages. Do you have a cloud file share service such as DropBox? A free DropBox exists (somewhat limited, specifically in size, but useful for this sort of thing)
