Blank white box opens at lanuch and prevents operation

LRC 11.0.1 on Windows 10 Home ver 21H1 OS build 19043.1415.  Blank white box sits in the middle of the screen on launch; closing the box closes the application itself.  Any way around this?  Thanks.

Yes, try resetting preferences first but if that doesn't work, try disabling GPU in your preferences. Any better?

Deleting the preference file unfortunately didn't solve the problem.  Thanks for the additional suggestion, but how do I disable the GPU in my preferences if I can't get past the white box that prevents the software from operating?

You can't if you can't get into the preferences dialog.

Do you have one or more than one catalog?

One possibility, corrupt preference file.

see:

The preference file can get corrupted leading to buggy behavior. A corrupt preference file will survive uninstalls, updates, and upgrades. By renaming or moving or deleting the preference file you create a situation where LrC will recreate a fresh new one upon startup of LrC. Be aware various settings will revert to defaults.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately deleting the file didn't work.  Same white box; same non-operational software.
