Book Module: How to add an arrow symbol to text

I am making a book, writing text and would like to add an arrow symbol to the text. Can't seem to be able to do this, any hints?

Are you on a windows or mac keyboard? If you are on a mac you can type control + command + space to bring up the emoji keyboard and search on arrow and add it that way. Or use any of these shortcuts to make the arrows (↑ ↓ → ←) on your keyboard:
1. Make the "left" arrow : Alt + 2 7 : ←
2. Make the "right" arrow : Alt + 2 6 : →
3. Make the "down" arrow : Alt + 2 5 : ↓
4. Make the "up" arrow : Alt + 2 4 : ↑
