Book module issue after update

Hi there, I just opened Lightroom. There was some sort of update, and now the images in my book module are showing, but when I press develop mode it says the photo cannot be found. None of these photos can be found. They were all on my external hard drive which is plugged in, and I can plainly see them on the hard drive separately, so I know that they're there. Can someone please assist with this? I have no idea how to fix this, but I'm pretty sure it can be fixed, right? That book took me a long time to put together I cannot start it over again. Thank you in advance to anyone with any suggestions!

@sarabt98  All your photos show the exclamation mark that indicates Lr-Classic has lost the location of the original files. In Lr-Classic terms they are "Missing".

You need to relink Folders and/or photos in the catalog library. See these links for advice on doing this:

MISSING FILES & FOLDERS (Lightroom Queen)
