Brand new to LR Classic CC - don't have File > New Catalog option

I just downloaded Lightroom Classic CC. My instructions from a class I took said to first create my catalog. When I go to "File", I don't have an option for "new Catalog". I only have the following active options: Add Photos, Search My Photos, and a few grayed out to send to other apps. So how do I create my catalog??? Is that somehow now part of "Add Photos"?

It doesn't sound like you have actually downloaded Lightroom Classic CC.

It sounds like you have downloaded the other app, with a very similar name, called Lightroom CC.

    Well, I even knew the new naming convention and THOUGHT I had double checked all that. But you are correct! Thanks! It really is true that "CC" stands for "Create Confusion". :-)

      There's a lot of people who are confused and not happy with the names chosen by Adobe.
