bulk image syncing not working. it's stuck

I edit 1 image and I want to sync those edits/settings to a bulk/batch of images and when I click "sync" it freezes and does nothing... I never had this issue before until deciding to move my catalog to a different drive, delete the original, and try to use the catalog on the other drive and this happened. so...I tried to revert backward and still had the same issue. Syncing was working fine before. This is especially useful for wedding photography so you don't need to edit each image individually!

Welcome to the Lightroom Classic community. I'll help you with this.

What version of Lightroom Classic & the operating system are you working on? Where is the catalog currently stored? Internal or an external drive?

Try this:

  • Press the Alt (Win) when launching Lightroom Classic.
  • Choose the option to create a new catalog and create a new one on the internal drive.

If a new catalog works,

  • Head to File > Import from Another Catalog, as shown below.

Proceed with merging the (potentially) corrupted catalog into the newly made, internal storage-based catalog.

For more help via video-based steps, check here. See Merging individual catalogs into a master catalog

Let me know if this helps,

Thanks!
