Ive read most of the previous posts on this but havent found a solution to my issue.  On 2 differenent machines (mac studio & macbook pro) I am unable to get the calibrite profiles to save anywhere OR show up in LR.  Im certain theres something Im missing but I really can't figure out what it is.  Whecn creating the calibrite profile it says it's saving it in user > library > app support > adobe > camera raw > camera prrofiles. It will tell me 'Profile created successfully but the camera profiles  folder is empty.  I even tried saving it to the desktop in hopes I could manually upload it in LR as well.  Doesnt show up there either.  What am I missing here? (Ive also installed and uninstalled calibrite profiler several times)

Make sure you install the profiles in Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles, not in the MacintoshHD root Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles. The user Library folder is hidden by default, so you may have to make it visible first: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html

I have very simialr issue,  Mac OS Sonoma (14.7), Lightroom Classic 14.5.1 camera raw 17.5
I can create the profiles, and I can see them in Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles
There are three profiles (*.dcp) two I created a few days ago load fine and can be seem in the lsit of profiles available to use in LR.  The third does not appear, and if i do a mamual import the message / dialogue box says. "unable to import profiles - All items were already imported".  But in the dropdow list in the profile browser under Profiles I only see the older 2 profiles and not hte new one.   I've done a reset of LRclassic preferences and still not resolution.

thank you -  alas, camera presets folder is in
/Users/nigel/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles

What sort of baffles me is why of the three profiles in there only 2 appear in the list of profiles.
There is a .dat file in there which says: The one that isnt loading is "Fev"
================
∞hmodel_restriction Nikon Z 6X/Users/nigel/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/Nikon z8 Fev.dcpn⁄GÒ?Øhmodel_restriction Nikon Z 6S/Users/nigel/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/z8 Wath.dcp·>~7•fl™hmodel_restriction Nikon Z 8Z/Users/nigel/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/z8 godox ad200.dcp∞C=%íòhmodel_restriction Nikon Z 8
==============================================

Ah ah -  I've talked myself into the answer !
So here goes, reading the dat file, the two camera profiles are for Nikon z8 and one is for Nikon Z6 and I think I've been trying to apply the profile from a photograph taken on z6 to a photograph in LR that was taken on a Z8. and mistakenly called it "Nikon z8 Fev"  I used the two cameras at one event so the images are all in the one folder and I've not created two sperate profile (one for the images shot with z6 and one for iamges shot with z8)

This seems logical conclusion in my head, so hope it might be of use to others.
