Camera and Lens Profile is dropped from after editing in Photoshop

I have LR auto identify my camera and lens profile whether it's the orignal NEF or DNG file created via denoise. If I edit either of those images in Photoshop either as a TIF or PSD, Lighroom can no longer identfiy the camera or lens profile. Why is this?

Driving me mental....

When you edit a raw in PS, all of LR's Develop settings, including the lens profile, get applied to the image before it is opened in PS.  PS then saves the image as a TIFF or PSD.

Most lens profiles only apply to raws, not non-raws (TIFF, PSD, JPEG).  So when you take the TIFF or PSD into Develop, the Lens Corrections panel won't show any applicable lens profiles.  But note that the lens profile was applied to the image when you took it into PS.

Are you using the "Edit In" menu choice in LrC?

What is you operating system? Mac or PC?

What exact version numbers of PS and LrC are you using?

In my Win11 system, LrC creates a DNG during Denoise, which keeps the profile, but a TIF coming back from PS does not.
