Question

Camera profile disappeared

Windows 10 latest, 32GB RAM, 1080Ti GTX card...nothing has changed hardware or software wise.

Just a few days ago, I took photos with my Sony a7Riii as usual with my Sigma 24mm f/1.4 Art lens as well as Sigma 105mm f/1.4 Art lens.  The pictures starting from a few days ago will only show what looks like camera profiles for smartphones.  Nothing pops up for a camera-specific profile like Rokinon, Samyang and other 3rd Party camera lens manufacturer.  If I click on all the previous photos up to when I had the issues, gives me the option with a full list.

I uninstalled & re-installed LR Classic but same issue.  With regular Lightroom (non-classic), the profile shows up fine but I prefer the Classic so have been trying to figure out why it's not populating the field automatically any more let alone not even showing the previous dropdown.

Please help if anything had changed with the current update or I'm missing something that's obvious

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!

Sorry everyone, not sure how it happened but apparently my a7Riii got reset to JPG instead of RAW.  I rarely ever use JPG so somehow I may have accidentally set my camera to JPG...

If your running Windows, the path to the Lens Profiles is (or similar to):

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\Sigma\Sony

This part of that path:" C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic\"  may differ due to user involvement in installs

Well the lenses do not show up in Profiles, they show up in Lens Calibration, And you might have to select Custom as opposed to Auto (default works as well) then select the Lens Mfg, then the lens''Auto has issues, especially if not the original RAW

Oh, and as it is not native glass, Auto probably fails, try custom or default.

Ahh, Ok, both can be called Profiles, but are you looking in the correct place for the ones for lenses?

Are your referring to Profiles? as in:

    These are RAW files?

    Hi Akil,

This is not a typical experience as Camera profile for your Sony A7Riii with Sigma 24mm f/1.4 Art lens has disappeared somehow, sorry to hear about this.

Please make sure you have a RAW file selected that matches one of the missing camera profiles.
