Can I hide certain images from view in LR?

Is there a way to select images based on certain criteria (i.e. keyword, label etc) and have them be effectively hidden from view in both grid and develop mode? I'd like it to appear as if they simply dont exist, only to come back if i go somwhere in settings to toggle view for these images back on.

Thank you

Not permanently "as if they simply dont exist".

But you can use the Library Filter to hide/show images according to criteria like those. At any time you can Cmd L (Ctrl L on WIndows) to release the filter, showing everything, and do it again to go back to the filtered view. So you need to experiment with the Library Filter.

I'm well versed with the library filter. I was hoping there was a toggle somewhere else to hide selected photos. Oh well.
