Question

Can Lightroom classic be accessed on different computers under same subcription?

Hello,

We have Lightroom classic for our business where we want to Metatag all our images.

I was wondering if our Lightroom Classic with all the relevant data can only be accessed from the one machine. Or can our data be accessed on other computers?

Thanks 🙂

The only reliable way is to have the Catalog and photo files on a portable external drive that can be moved from one computer to another. See the Chapter "Self Contained Catalog" in this blog article from the Lightroom Queen:

MULTIPLE COMPUTERS- How to use (Lightroom Queen)

This article also suggests how to use the Web versions of Lightroom for partial access to files in the Adobe Cloud.

Thanks so much for this. The web version of LightRoom Classic is just called Lightroom?

Lightroom on the web (lightroom.adobe.com) is part of the Lightroom ecosystem, but syncing from Lightroom Classic places Smart Previews online to access. It's more of a piggyback than being a full member of the system. Not everything added online goes back down to Classic though.
