Can no longer edit phots in Photoshop from lightroom

Since the last update, I can no longer edit my photos in photoshop from lighroom.  This includes any command, eg. Open as Smart Object in Photoshop, Merge to Panorama in Photoshop, Merge to HDR Pro in Photoshop, Open as Laysers in Photoshop and simply, open in Photoshop.

Photoshop starts by using these commands, however it just stops at the start (home) location and gives no warning, error or any other indication as to why the photo isnt opening.

This happens on all file types, RAW, Tif and Jpeg.

any one having the same issue, or a solution would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

When the 'link' between Lightroom Classic and Photoshop has issues, one of the first things to try is this:
1. Use the Adobe Creative Cloud application to uninstall both Photoshop and Lightroom Classic and when asked, keep preferences.
2. Install Photoshop first, then Lightroom Classic.
