Can't Figure This One Out [Unable to import videos from smartphone]

I have five (5) specific short videos taken by a camera phone that I am unable to import. It tells me two things when I try to do so:

1) A message that "Preview is unavailable for this file," and

2) An error message that says "An unknown error occurred while reading the video file (5)." The files are small.

I've had no previous problems importing, and I have the latest version (7.3) of LR Classic CC.

I would appreciate anyone's help to let me know what I'm doing wrong, and/or a solution to resolve this.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for offering to help. Below is a snipet with the cell phone camera details.

As for the file type, when I attempt to import the five videos in the LR library module which shows up as "Preview unavailable for this file," the metadata below shows IMG_xxxx.MOV.

The camera phone belongs to my Son, and he has sent me many videos using this specific source. I have not had any previous problems importing his videos to me. I also made sure I have the most current LR version (7.3).

Any suggestions?

What is the file type of these videos? What cell phone (exact make and model) took them?

On the iPhone, verify that the option Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible is set and then try creating and importing a new video. By default iOS now uses a newer standard, HEVC (aka H.265) for encoding video, and LR doesn't yet support that standard.

It's not clear from your symptoms that this is the problem, but it's simple enough to try.
