Can't find moved images

I have dragged folders from one drive to another using Windows Explorer. When I look for those folders in their new location, they are not there, yet when viewed from windows explorer, they do exist in their new location.

 

I have gone to the folder in LR, that contains the moved image, right clicked, update location and navigate to the folder containing the moved images but nothing happens.

 

What am I doing wrong?

What is your visual evidence (in Lightroom Classic) that nothing happens? Have you checked the LrC Folder Panel to see if the folder on the second drive now appears?

Does the folder on the first drive show a question mark icon? Does one of the photos in this folder show exclamation point icons?

 

What does show in Lightroom Classic under the 2nd drive? Can you show me a screen capture of the Lightroom Folder Panel for the 2nd drive, and also the corresponding view of the 2nd drive in Windows Explorer? Please use the "Insert Photos" icon to include the screen captures in your reply. Do not attach files.

 

Also, you keep talking about "moved images" but I believe what you did was a COPY not a move: "I have dragged folders from one drive to another using Windows Explorer".
