can't get photo back into lightroom after editing in photoshop beta

usually when I'm working in lightroom, I can send the photo to photoshop>edit as needed> then save and it automatically sends the photo back to lightroom. With the new beta, this isn't happening. I save it but then the photo does not go back into lightroom. How do I fix this?

    The only thing I can figure out so far is to synchronize the folder in Lightroom.  It is in there, just not showing automatically.

    Check and see if the image is stacked with the original.
